UGANDA

Celine is one of the tailoring trainers at TANU.

“I work in TANU Vocational Training Skills Centre, as a member in the Dorcas Dress Project sewing hub. I am one of our Focus Team Members. Being part of the sewing hub helps me to grow my sewing skills as we interact with friends from across world. It also helps to improve my communication skills and build new relationships and friendships with people from different countries.
I would like our hubs to grow in the all nations so they can transform more people’s lives and make positive changes in society.

Our hub is made up of friends, we share ideas, discuss problems and do life together. Teso land is made up of many cultures. One of our most popular and best local foods is Eboo. A green leaf vegetable that grows wild here in Uganda, we prepare it over a charcoal fire and eat it like this.

I want to thank God for this project. It has changed my life and the life of many people. I thank God so much for it and pray God will continue to bless it abundantly.”
